Which is better for storing lots of photos DVD-RW or DVD+RW?
-
I have a lot of different types of photos that I want to take off my computer to make more room. I have them sorted into folders which my regular CD-R's won't hold. So I heard I need to get DVD's that are 4.7 GB or bigger.

Answer:
As far as the + vs -, these are two different, incompatible, formats - use different colored lasers. Your drive may have more than one laser and can use both. I have a number of devices in my home (DVD players, etc.) that don't use +, so I have to use - instead. Frankly, most devices that support + also support -. One is not better than the other, only different. All DVDs are 4.7GB, plus or minus. I would recommend a DVD-R over a DVD-RW so that you don't accidentally delete the photos.
