Question with Microsoft Outlook 2003?

Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 email question:?

  • If I want to be able to see my home computer's inbox messages on my computer at work, using Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 on my computer at home, what would I need to do?

  • Answer:

Go to your computer at home and copy the following information: Got to Tools/E-mail Accounts/View or Change existing... Click on change the current account and copy the POP3 and the SMTP address (they might look like this: 192.168.1.250 or smtp.mycompany.com) Go to work and open Outlook go to the same path but instead of click on View or Change, click on Add a new account, select POP3 fill in the basic info, fill in the information (name, email, passw, SMTP and POP3). Make sure that you click on More Settings (lower right corner) And go to the last Tab [Advanced] and select the option that says Leave a copy of messages on the server (otherwise if you download your messages at home you will not be able to receive them at work) Good luck
