Please Help!!?

I recently just got a new Dell and I have Vista. Now, I have two problems that I just CANT seem to solve. One, I visited two different websites and since I did that, it saved all the pics from those websites onto my computer. When I go to view all my folders for pics, theyre not there. BUT as many know, vista has the Google Desktop which can display a slideshow of all the pics on the pc. When I go into the google desktop-open "slideshow" folder-it shows me 3 folders..1 is my pics..the other 2 are folders of the random people from those websites..ive tried many times deleting those folders..and deleting them from the recycle bin. But,sure enough, next time I open up the slideshow folder..there are those folders again..they just keep coming back!! Any help? Also, with that in mind..ever since then,I cant view any temp files. Once I click internet options-settings(brows history)-view files-it never shows all the websites I JUST visited. All I see are a few that say this:Name-"feed.mg?Type....etc" and then under Internet Address-it'll show me the websites that saved those pics to my pc. A few others under name will say "cookie.google.com" or something along that line. Anyway, I checked under "advanced"and its not enabled to delete my files everytime i exit,so I know its not that. i can go to all the webpages I can and when i try to view the files I get nothing. Anyway, im sorry this is long I just wanted to give as much info as possible. If anyone can please help me, I would REALLY appreciate it!!!!!!!!! Thanks!

Answer:
So what exactly are your questions you need help on? 1) You said "it saved all th epics". What exactly is "it"? It sounds like you want to know why these "folders" keep coming back, is that right? If you meant "Internet Explorer", it doesn't really "save" them. It just... "cache" them, so if you need them again in the near future, it doesn't have to spend time downloading them again. It is stored in "Temporary Internet Files" under special names and folders. If you managed to find those with Google Desktop (and it would, as the extension, like JPG, are retained), then, those are the pictures you found. Those are cache files, NOT the actual pictures, but more like "renamed copies". Those folders will be recreated by the browser if you delete them. That's why they keep coming back. 2) So what was the question? What do you want to see in your temp files? Not all webpages can be cached by the browser. Browser will only cache something if it determines that the item has NOT been updated. If a page is generated every time you access it (like a newspage, for example), it will have a different timestamp every time you access it, and to the browser, it's a newer version of the page, and thus the old version will be discarded from the cache. Same with pictures and such. Thus, they will be "gone" from your temporary Internet files, as they are considered obsolete and no longer needed, and will be deleted to make room for newer stuff. I suggest you take a look at here, where it explains how the web browser really works, what happens in the background, and things like that. http://www.garshol.priv.no/download/text/http-tut.html
