How to make a bootable windows xp disk?

i have a pre downloaded windows xp how to burn it onto a bootable disk i lost my windows xp cd and now windows 7 came out and no longer have the old windows startup cd so i downloaded it and now i dont know how to burn it onto a dvd-r for my laptpo to read it i have tried everything but i am new to software and im a computer noob please help me
