How to change a dvd format?

Change .wmv files into format compatible for DVD burning?

  • I have a .wmv file I received on a CD and now I want to burn it to a DVD so it can be played on my DVD player. The .wmv file is saved on my computer and I inserted the DVD into my DVD burn drive. So I dragged the .wmv file into the folder that cotains the DVD and it kept giving me error messages. I don't know what is wrong, I tried changing DVDs and everything. Please help!

  • Answer:

First you need burning software like nero. http://get-nero-now.com/index.asp?revid=market50&glid=none&ovid=none&sub=gg_nero&kbid=1459&domain= if you have one ,open the burning soft.. and click knew, then you have a choice of ISO dvd click on it it should burn. how ever, changing the format requires more steps and plugins which may be already in the burning soft..Now if the file you have is movie, it should burn in ISO mode.done

You can use a program call Convertxtodvd. Or one called winavi video. i like the convertxtodvd. haven't used winavi. can be purchased/downloaded at www.vso-software.fr. you can download a trial version but it will put a watermark on the video.
