Can I install an iso file without burning it to a cd?

  • I want to be able to install a program from an iso without having to burn it to a cd or dvd. Normally you download the file and you write the iso file to a medium like cd or dvd. Then you can install the program from the disc you burned. Can I bypass the cd or dvd and install the program directly from the iso file?

  • Answer:

    You sure can. Download a copy of winrar or any other archive program. An iso file is nothing more than an archive. Open the *.iso with the archive program and find the install file, double click and you are good to go. I do not burn plastic any more.

Why certainly! Click on this link to download Daemon Tools Lite: http://www.disk-tools.com/request?p=591efad968647da4eeaaa383f3cc0a88/daemon4301-lite.exe It is an emulator. It kind of tricks your computer into thinking there is a virtual cd drive. Once its installed, just boot it up, and "mount" your ISO file to it. Go to my computer, and it should look like a normal CD in the drive. [email protected] if any questions.

I would think so. I know that when I backup a DVD, I create an ISO file directly on my hard drive, and I can use it right from the hard drive. I don't see why it wouldn't be any different.

Hi, please do this :- run PowerISO and then extract the iso file into a temp folder and install from there.this will help you.
