Is WiFi MAX Worth it?

Need help on setting up the WIi wifi conncetion? Setting up the WiFi Max dongle!?

• My Wifi connection is constantly failing the computer says that I have a strong connection from the internet to the dongle, but I have no sending connection from the dongle to the Wii. I really want to use the internet again........

  OK This is going to be a long one...print this out to keep handy. I found this forum and tried this (after pulling my hair out trying everything else.) Credit for this goes to "Mrmedia" on gametrailers.com #1 Install your WIFI MAX CD software (Choose to install the Nintendo DS software) #2 After fully installed plug in your WiFI max with the stand. Microsoft will ask you if you want to install the ZD adapter software, INSTALL IT. (You need the doggle stand long USB cord for better connection strenth) #3 Double click the nintendo DS WIFI MAX ICON On your desktop #4 Push auto setup (not really a need for it later but do it for now, its how i did it) Press apply It will close out. #5 SO open DS WIFI MAX ICON back up. Set the channel from 6 to 1 and press apply . You Need it to be on 1 #6 Now Close out of the DS WI MAX Doggle Setup ------------------------------... WIFI MAX MAKERS SUCK they did NOT GIVE you the following Crazy instructions that you need, that only a WII master like me could figure out TRICKY PART MOST WONT UNDERSTAND #7 ON YOUR PC , CLICK "START" Bottom Right, Click "Control Panel" Click "Network Connections" Just one click your (Should only be highlighted) "Local area Connection" or What ever you use as your main internet connection. #8 Now look to your left you will [Network tasks] Click "setup a home or small network" Now your going to start a connection share type thing #9 Click a few Next's, you will come to "select a connection method" Most people will select the top first one. unless you use a laptop and are connecting from and school or nextdoor neighbors choose the second one. Now Click Next. #10 Select Your internet connection: from the list, Should be the top one might not be though. Now Click Next. #11 Select your private connection: Well select your wireless Conection which is the Nintendo DS USB adapter. Click Next. #12 Click Next through the register computer bs #13 Click Next Or make a name for your network #14 Click the TOP "TURN ON FILE PRINTER SHARING" Most likey to punch the firewall in the face if you have it on. Click Next #15 Window will apply settings. Click Next #16 Click the bottom one, I think it says something like finish now the out using the winxp CD. NOW THATS DONE YOU HAVE MADE THE CONNECTION AND YOUR COMPUTER NOW KNOWS THERES A CONNECTION. #17 Make Sure all your Firewalls Are OFF including windows Firewall in "Control panel" #18 Look to the bottom right of your monitor you see the "ZD". Double Click It. Click on more settings. At the bottom you will see bridge adapter Turn it off and it will say " NO Bridge ". (NO BRIDGE OWNS) make sure your channel is set to 1. #19 Set your wifi max in a good spot to get a good signal. (you can check your signal by clicking the small PC )) at bottom. #20 Turn on WII and select internet connection "wireless" Select Find Access Point. Should find it, pic the green unlocked connection save. It will search connection go thought the WII UPDATE. Only WII shop is online right now though. So have fun downloading retro games!!!
