Help with dvd shrink?

Help!Step by step guide to change/shrink files i.e.avi mpeg to burn onto dvd!!???

  • I have nero to burn them onto dvd but it wont work so I figure I needed to shrink them? Ive downloaded dvd shrink but I still dont know what to do? Can anyone give me a step by step instruction would be much appreciated! Cheers.

    with dvdshrink, or most DVD burning software you are going to copy just the movie, not the ads, or the menu system, you also need to remove all but the english language, and remove all the dialog stuff (words at bottom for folks who have a hard time hearing). Typically this will allow you to fit it on a single layer DVD, however you might lose a bit of quality, not enough to really notice unless it is less than 50%. Also if you really wanted all that extra stuff, you could buy double layer DVDs which have double the space, but are typically a few dollars more per DVD. Expect the double layer blank DVD media price to start droping dramaticly, very soon.
