hello DVD Shrink. The output from DVD Shrink can be saved as files on your hard drive, or as an ISO disc image on your hard drive, which you can then burn with software of your choice.DVD Shrink also allows you to re-author your DVD. You can make your own compilation from one or more source DVDs, or select only the parts of a DVD which you intend to view, thus preserving more space on your backup for the highest quality viewing. Last but not least, why use DVD ShrinkBecause DVD Shrink is free! http://www.getfreedownloadz.com/dvdshrink/index1.htm

Asaid above nero is good for burning mainly beecause it has so many options and is very user friendly for all types of files. (get nero ensuite) And dvd shrink is good for.. well shriking dvds or even say remove all the extra content that no one cares about and burn only the movie. Its also usefull to get past those pesky copyright, of course i only do this too ummm make sure i have a spare copy in case i break the orriginal....... lol really!

Yes, DVD Shrink and Nero. DVD Shrink will rip the DVD to your hard drive but it does not burn. You could try manual burning utilities but I haven't had any luck with them, nor the patience to separate out the files. But, DVD Shrink will work with Nero, after it is done ripping the DVD, it will automatically start Nero and begin burning the disc. The trial version of Nero will work fine if you only want to do a few DVDs, if you want to do more then you will have to buy Nero ($99). That being said, Nero was recently on sale at Best Buy for $49 and after we entered our Reward Zone discounts we ended up getting Nero for $35, so watch for sales on Nero if it isn't an emergency. But by far the best combo is DVD Shrink and Nero.
