  yes, it won't pick up your own ip address, so no you won't be caught. that's the whole idea of a proxy - hiding your own ip address. It will always be the same ip address everytime you use it. it's a fixed ip address. according to the site i use it says: CGI proxies are usually faster than PHP. Another advantage of CGI script is SSL support. CGI web proxy can be configured to proxify secure content while PHP proxies don't support HTTPS web sites. I use both but cgi is better.
