How to uninstall DivX?

How do i uninstall Divx codecs and player? i keep getting an error msg, how do i make it go away?

its not listed in the "add/remove programs" window. the uninstall program that comes with it did not remove much at all. each time i open a folder containing any videos, an error msg pops out that windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. these are the details: AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: xvid.dll ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00017fb3

download the latest version, re-instal over the old copy, reboot, and then un-install it. That should fix it.
