What video format do portable DVD players play?

I need help with a video maker format issue.?

  • I recently purchased Video Expressions to place pictures and music onto to make a cute slideshow presentation for family and friends. Problem is after it is burned to a disk it doesn't always play properly (if at all) on all DVD players. This is very frustrating to spend all this time on a project only to have it not work properly. It saves the file with .ssp extension. I don't know if the problem is with how it burns the disk, my DVD burner, the format or the DVD players. Anyone have any ideas? Do you know of any good programs like this that would be compatible with all DVD players (new or older) or that would be a better choice for me to use? I'm not a computer guru so am out of options as to what to do. The programs themselves are really cute and Video Expressions is easy to use but the main problems seems to lie within the burning of the disk and whether or not it will play on any one DVD. Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • Answer:

Try saving the project as mpeg-2 or avi, dvd compatible formats.
