How to control individual functions in excel chart?

Help please, how to do a FORCE vs MASS graph in Excel?

• I've searched everywhere, and NOWHERE is there anything on a force vs mass graph or chart how-to in Excel! Kind of angers me.. Out of all possibilities, there's NOTHING on Force vs Mass? Grr.. How do I set it up? I need help on this! I have all the numbers, but how do I plug them in? It's for an Egg lab.. we dropped eggs off of the balcony of the staircase in our school, 3 with plastic-bag parachutes, and the control with none.. Results are Egg A: Mass (kg): 0.583 (acc. 10 m/s/s) Force: 5.83 Egg B: Mass (kg): 0.595 (acc. 7 m/s/s) Force: 0.665 Egg C: Mass (kg): 0.597 (acc. 1.29 m/s/s) Force: 0.077 Egg D: Mass (kg): 0.60 (acc. 0.76 m/s/s) Force: 0.0456 So do you have any idea how I would put this in Excel? Please help... well I kind of DO know how.. but how would I make the line graph or scatter plot (either one) so that it looks right? I believe I need only ONE line, but I'm not sure... Any possible ways to do are it okay.. Thanks in advance for ANY help :O

You can choose whether the points should be unconnected, connected by straight lines, or connected by a smooth curve. (Line charts in Excel do not acknowledge XY relationships and will plot the two sets of data separately.) You need to input your data in a tabular format so Excel can properly recognize it. Put the mass values in one column and the force values in another, side by side. You can add the labels ("Egg A") in another column to the left, but be sure to specify that this column doesn't contain data values.
