How To Install Windows Service Pack 3?

  • I am running on Windows Vista Home Premium and have a 32 bit system. I know how to go to Windows Updater and update the computer. I need to upgrade in order to install Internet Explorer 9. My problem is in order for me to install Windows Service Pack 3 and therefore install IE9 the Windows Updater tells me I need to insert a disk that I do not have. The disk it asks for is Microsoft Office XP Professional with Front Page I do not have this in any of the collections of CD-ROM's that go with my desktop. This is the only update I need to install and can not because of this disk. It fails and tells me that Office XP Service Pack 3 failed. I figured this only applied to Microsoft Office Programs but when I try to download IE9 it tells me I need Windows SP3 to do so. So my question is hoe do I get this update or disk I can't find?

  • Answer:

Search for download sp2 and download it first. Then simply go to windows update and download all updates
