Google Earth requires 3D drivers for the video card. I suspect that when you upgraded from XP to Win 7 you did not install updated drivers for your video card and it is running on a generic, low end driver. If the video card card came preinstalled in your computer. go to the web site of PC'c maker and look up your model. They should have Win 7 drivers for your video card. If you purchased the card separately, you will need to go to the card's maker's web site instead. It is also possible you may need to update/reinstall DirectX, which is a Microsoft program that handles video display. Go to Microsoft.com and download/install the latest version of DirectX from there. Finally, try a different web browser. Go to http://getfirefox.com and download the free Firefox browser. It is faster and more secure than IE. Since Google Earth is a web site, the error is more likely being caused by something in your browser that something in the version of Windows. IE does not change from XP to Win 7. If Firefox works, then try reinstalling IE.

I think the version u r trying to install is not fully compatible with windows 7.Download new version n try it again.Coz i m also using 7 n my most of the old softwares are incompatible.
