How to make slave disk with second copy of Windows main and bootable?

How can i copy an XP disk and make it bootable, just like the original?

  • My friend has an original XP Home disk, I want to copy it to use the Recovery Console as I have frequent crashes on my laptop. How can I make it just like the original, ie. bootable?

hi it's illage but u can do this u must need two software one is Cd wiritng packge for copy to copy disc to discCopy your Windows XP CD or u copied all flle to your local disk then u also need MasicISO to make file connect to bootable as orignal cd... try this... but this all things are illage, please don't do this ... but u want to risk then u r most welcome and any legal prodecure i m not take any respomsbility bye......

just download any software to write to disc like NERO writer...SONIC....or any disc burn it... i use nero which has the option to burn a bootable cd.... so u just insert the xp cd.. copy it on hard drive... then insert a blank cd.... and burn it like bootable disc u have options in the software and you can download these cd burn software from internet.... i know bootable disc option is in nero and sonic....but this is not leagal it would be piracy or original software...however it depends on you....

His disk is bootable, and many make backup copies of their software as a measure of safety. Were is your disk or recovery software that came with your computer? Sounds like you need to do a clean install of Windows from a legal disk. Google for the info you want or buy the software. Make it a great day!

u need to use alcohol 120% to burn the image to data disc u can d/l it on line for free but when u have to copy the files burn as an image file to the disc u will need to go in to the hard drive then all programmes and files and ur xp disc will be in there

Simply copy the cd...thats all....ohhh i suggest using the minimun writting speed your drive has( 8x for example)...if you copy music its ok to writte at top speed but when you're copying data, it is recommended the slow speed, cause it can jump some files or something, it happened to me

If I were you I'd be more concerned with finding the cause of all those crashes. Then you wouldn't need a copy. Maybe you could post what you're doing when you have a crash and we could help solve the problem. :)
