How do I burn a DVD on my computer to a DVD disc?

My computer is a hp and im trying to burn a dvd using nero start smart and it says please insert disc?

    If your using blank disc and have put in more than 2-3 and still get the same message. You may need to send the drive in for service or replacement. I had the same issue about 2 months ago with a Toshiba DVD burner drive. Didn't realise until I coastered about 5 new disk. Took it out sent it in and haven't had an issue since.

Keep in mind, it might be a faulty program. You might have to uninstall and re-install the driver. You may have crappy DVDs, also. I've come across that issue myself. I ended up getting brand new DVDs from another brand. I've also had to reload the program. You can always contact HP. they will help you go step-by-step.

Make sure you save your project first. You will need to purchase DVD -R or DVD +R CD blanks to make a DVD disk.
