How to set column as readonly on Gridview?

When in Excell how do I set a worksheet so the top three rows and the left column always show no matter.?

  • I want the top rows with the titles and the left column with the labels and dates to always display as I move around in the work sheet.

  • Answer:

Ih the older versions, this was a command in the menus In the later versions, look closely at your scroll bars.T here is a very skinny extra bar above the up scroll arrow and another one to the right of the right scroll arrow. You can click on these and drag them around in the window to define rows and columns that don't get scrolled off the screen.

From the top menu choose "Window" then click on "Split" Move the cross hairs where you like on your worksheet and then from the top menu again choose "Window" and this time click on "freeze". Your panes will not scroll with the rest of your worksheet

Say you want A-E, 1-7 visable always: click on the left Cell F8, window-> "freeze panes" the first cell to hide: one row down, one column right

Click on the cell below and to the right of where you want the split to occur. So, if you are talking top two rows (1 and 2) and the left column (A), you would click on cell 3B then go to Window > Freeze Panes. That's all there is to it.
