how to create a virtual image of an existing system?

Is it possible to create iso disk from files from existing operating system. To burn to cd?

  • I can't find installation disk for my operating system.

  • Answer:

Assuming your existing OS is Windows XP, or older, NO!!! The required installation files are NOT on your hard drive, they are only found on a legal Windows disk. Call Microsoft, with proof (an invoice and Activation Code) that you bought a Windows Installation disk, and they will send you a replacement. If your PC came with Windows pre-installed, call the PC manufacturer for replacement Recovery Disks, instead.
