Trying to send a file with a . wps extension but i need to make it a .doc file how do i do this, .pdf will do.?

how can i change the extension of a file so i can send it .doc , .pdf , .odt, .,sxw are all fine but my file is a .wps file, is it possible to change it

Answer:
You can't change the extension and still have it usable - the extension tells the program what the format of the file is. WP6RTF.EXE (from Microsoft) will convert .wps files to .doc format.
