How To Delete Folder with Powershell?

Omg I can't delete this folder! Help me geniuses!?

  • I scanned my pc for virus/spyware but it shows nothing. This folder has been on my pc for over a year because when a friend sended me a link to download Microsoft 07 the folder was called "virus...". I later uninstalled MS 07 but still can't delete that stupid folder that has been bugging me for so long. When I try to delete it, it says "Cannot delete file: Cannot read of the source file or disk".(it's just a plain folder with nothing inside. Umm when I try to put a new folder inside it also gives me an error but after that I was able to put in into that new folder. Then deleted it and it's completely gone but after clicking desktop refresh it comes back. How can I delete an non existent folder that can't be found anywhere else other than the desktop? I do not want to reboot my pc and download everything again. Thank You to the person who can help me solve this problem.

Just a guess. Try booting into safe mode (F8 while booting up) and see if you can delete it. I have heard of people moving an undeleteable files into a new folder and then delete the new folder. Check the properties on the folder

worth a try... Click Start>Run type> cmd press Enter ...in the DOS prompt navigate to the Desktop folder once there type attrib -h -r -s virus.. (or whatever the name of the folder is) then type del virus.. hope this works. tell me if it does.
