How do i transfer my DVD on to my computer?

How can I transfer DVD movies onto my computer?

  • For a long time, I've been wanting to put a dvd onto my computer so that I could make a video from it using Windows Movie Maker. Although I am able to watch it when I put it into my dvd drive, I am unable to permantantly put it onto my computer and/or import it for use on Windows Movie Maker. I've tried several things, but nothing seems to work. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me with my problem. Thanks.

  • Answer:

For one you need a DVD decription program that lets you copy it to your computer (copy protection built into the DVD) A good all around program for that is AnyDVD. http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html Then you'll need a good program for copying the movie... 1ClickDVD copy is a decent one...and there's many more that will do a good job...There's also programing that will let you copy, then Compress the data to very low MBs such as Divx,or Xvid...do some reseaching... Here's a good website to start you out on your way... http://www.videohelp.com/sefy/?id=start1b.html

It can be done with several programs. But it is illegal to tell you how. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) was signed into law by. 1. President Clinton on October 28, 1998.
