Installing iTunes for windows 7?

ITunes wont download Mobile Device Support?

  • When i download itunes it does a rollback action then completes the download. I can use iTunes perfectly fine but when i try to connect my itouch it says "this ipod can not be used becaue the required software is not installed, run the itunes installer to remove itunes, then install itunes again" Im currently using a Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit operating system and i know its not my ipod because when i plug it into my desktop (windows xp/ itunes 10.3) it works and recognizes it perfectly fine. I've tried various methods like: *Completely removing all apple programs (using uninstalling program that finds all left over files and deletes them) *uninstalling all apple programs in recommended order *installing older versions of itunes then updating *extracting the download file and installing one by one *uninstalling and reinstalling drivers *updating drivers and allot more... it seems this guy has found a solution but its only for windows 7 so if anyone can make/find a windows vista version that would greatly appreciated. Thanks

  • Answer:

This could be the device problem... The usual suggestion here is to report that problem to the device/mechanical service since they might have some ideas to fix that problem for you... Good luck!
