How do i make my Vista windows look "transparent"?

  • how do i make my Vista windows look "transparent"? i found a question similar to mine, but the answer didnt work for me. i know the switch between windows gives a quick selection of which window you want to view. but i still dont know how to make my windows 3D and transparent looking. does it only work for certain editions of Vista? thanks!

    Vista Home Basic does not give you that option. Home Premium, Business, and Ultimate all have it though.

If you have Vista Home Basic, the transparent windows 'Aero' and 3D are not included. If you want to achieve something far better than what Vista can offer, consider Linux Mint 4.0 with Compiz Fusion. http://linuxmint.com/ http://wiki.compiz-fusion.org/ You can easily set it up to dual boot with Vista, its easy to use and its all free.
