how to create a virtual image of an existing system?

How can I create a true Image of all my system and files?

  • I mean that I need a true image of all system that if I format the windows, then I should be able to insert my image disk and boot the system then recover all the system. is it possible? please tell me how? I really appreciate that.

    Norton Ghost and PowerQuest Drive Image are 2 I know of. I never worry now about complete system failures.

Norton Ghost. It is a little more complicated that just putting in the disk. But Ghost creates an image of your system. The restore process will be dependent on where you store the image. If on an external drive no real issues, if it is on CDs or DVDs it will be spanned over multiple disks.

I used "Acronis True Image" to image my comps which include the whole system and personal files.... If you are new to this, try Acronis True Image instead of Ghost...b'cos its much more easier... http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/
