How to detect silence in audio files?

I would like to know is there any software to detect missing .dll files?

  I'm curious about how you know you have a "lot of missing .dll files." I don't know how you'd know that?!? More often than not, the .dll's aren't missing, but the system can't find them. They don't disappear unless you delete them, and if you do that, some applications simply don't work any more.
