HELP!! I am trying to find free DVD shrink or similar?

I have been trying to copy a DVD of my daughters school concert with Nero and it gets about 95% through and says there's a problem. I am very new to this whole burning DVD thing. A friend suggested shrink but did not know where to get it from... I am beginning to feel like i am the one who will need the shrink soon!! lol Any help would be great Thanks Shaz
