I'm Guessing it might me PSU.. Anyway please Help me..

  • Answer:

When my fan gets really dusty my computer will heat up very fast and sometimes get so hot it shuts right off and won't turn on until it's all cooled down. If your fans are really dirty your PC might be heating up really fast and having to shut itself down.

Restore to original motherboard settings (i.e no overclocking!) Change it in the Bios Make sure your PC has room to breathe! It could be the computer automatically shutting down due to it being too warm (google search speed fan) Try opening the case it up, blow off all the dust (these really heats up the pc..)

I would agree it sounds as though the PSU is faulty, you should be able to get a replacement from a local computer store HTH David

Maybe the fans gone. Is it old?

Mine wouldn't start the other day and comet said it was static, told me to unplug from the wall, take the battery out, keep finger on the start button for 15 seconds and then put back together. this is supposed to remove all static. Good Luck!

If you have an original DVD with system , put it in drive and re-power computer , You may need to reinstall you OS

Do you have a bootable disk, or a restore disk set? If so just try to restart with the disk in the drive.

Why would you overclock ur cpu from 1.8ghz to 2.1ghz ??? i really dont see why ppl mess around with cpu's for a measly 0.3ghz which over stresses the cpu and over heats it. as for ur problem, yes MAYBE its ur PSU (power supply), maybe its ur CPU or maybe its a capacitor on the mainboard itself. errrrm try resetting ur motherboard from the motherboard itself via a jumper. remove motherboard battery first, then set jumper to reset for 30seconds before setting jumper back to normal and replacing the battery. plug case back in and retry to reboot. if this does nothing to help ur screwed.
