Microsoft Word Help please?

I need help with installing Microsoft Word into my computer. Please Help?

  • Okay, I found this website that will allow me to download a FREE Microsoft Word into my computer. So I saved the file for this program in my documents like I was supposed to. Then, I was instructed to click start, then click control panel, then click Windows XP (which is what I have). So then I clicked the OFF button for my FIREWALL so that I could then successfully download the Microsoft Word program. After I did this, I received a popup that said to me, Install IQ is unable to complete the installation. Please retry again after checking: Your internet connection is working properly. Your firewall or antivirus software is configured to allow Install IQ. To retry the installation, click the retry button. Okay, so I clicked the RETRY BUTTON and nothing happened. Can anyone give me some really advice and help me to install a Microsoft Word program into my computer without my computer going berzerk? If you know about a Microsoft Word program that I can get for free online that will work well for Windows XP, then it would be appreciated. Ten Points for best answer. PLEASE HELP!

    Reinstall it and try ctrl alt delete to see if it running and see is it compatible

Yes, I totally understand your dilemma. Sorry to hear it, I got very angry when I encountered the same problem not too long ago, so...my solution was to get a hammer and repeatedly bash the whole darn thing until I felt better (to teach it a lesson), although it still didn't solve the problem. You know I'm kidding. Seriously though, I am so very computer illiterate and unsavvy it's unbelievable. I didn't have a clue what your question even meant!!!...isn't that pitiful??lol I'm old and hard to teach...can you help?? Can anyone out there help??
