How can i create gift card in magento community edition?

I’ve got an installation of Magento Community Edition 1.5.1.0, and I wish to upgrade it to the latest 1.6.2.0.?

  On my part, I think that the best way to upgrade your Magento is to make the brand new installation of Magento version you’d like to have and then extract (export) all of your database from the old Magento version you have now and move (import) it to the new installation. I know this may sound too hard, but it really isn’t. You’d spend more time on hiring extra help for taking care of all the glitches and bugs that you’ll get if you upgrade your store the usual way and don’t do it right.
