Why BIT TORRENT software reduces the transfer rate of downloading content?

  • If i download anything normally.... Downloading Transfer rate is normal.... If i download any content via torrent... It takes me very long time to complete the download.... Transfer rate is decreasing up to 1.0 KB/Sec... Then it started again increasing up to 15.0KB/Sec.... Average Transfer Rate is just 3.0 KB/Sec... Why like that??? Is there any way to speed up the transfer rate of download.... Need your help.... Thanks in advance

    the ratio of seeds to peers must be high to achieve optimal download speeds ..make sure of this before downloading ..in the sense you will have to pick torrents having high number of seeds compared to peers..are u using BSNL or Airtel?..the variation in speed occurs due to the no.of seeds available at that point of time and the number of users downloading the same content ..if there is only one well and many are to take water then obviously it will be slow ..but if there are many wells available then the process will be fast is it not ..its some what like that

Maybe what you are downloading via torrent has more leeches than seeds. Get a torrent with more seeds and the speed will automatically increase.

1) may u set limit bandwith set bandwith with unlimited in upload and download. 2) U should download high no. of seeded torrents 3) goto-> preferences->bandwith->increase no. of connections 1st box 1000 and 2nd 500 and upload slot to 4 or 6. 4) u should get high speed broadband from isp. thats all i know
