How to make music video appearance on after effects?

Im using after effects at the moment and I would like to know how to make a video look like a music video, like with all the contrast, colour effects...etc. For example, Rihanna - Only Girl in the World video, it has like a red effect over the background and a smart flickering effect on the bridge of the song. How do you do this to a video on after effects to make it look like it wasn't filmed on a video camera and instead more professional?
