Why wont my logitech quickcam webcam do video calls on MSN?

Hi i installed a old logitech quickcam webcam and i tried to video call on msn and it wouldnt work? It still comes up with the toolbar and i can film myself and whatever but it dosnt even come up with the icon and when it does and i click on it it comes up and has a cross thru it? What can i do to make it work? Thanks!

Answer:
One possible explanation may be your anti virus software. Do some searching on line with your web cam model and your AV info. I had issues with McAfee adjusting firewall settings and preventing the operation. Newer versions of the OS and AV software fixed things but it was hard to find. Good luck.
