How can i install shockwave on linux?

I have bought a new acer laptop running on linux but i need to install things like shockwave e.t.c I have tried to install wine and ubuntu, but i just dont understand it.. HELP!!!

Install the windows version of Firefox using Wine, you will be able to get shockwave on it. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html Adobe Shockwave - http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/ You can get Ubuntu here. http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download Download 8.04LTS and burn the iso file to a disc as an image, then you boot from it.
