Google doesn't work (google.com) on any computer?

Computer Is still SUPER slow even after Reformatting it, how come? help please?

• Long story short: I am clueless about computers, MY computer is slow after reformating it, and the internet is bogus, even though I have high speed. Okay, I have looked this up on google and I see other people have asked this question too, but they know more then i do about computers and maybe have an idea with whats wrong. I know NOTHING about ANYTHING with this stuff. I am a female, who uses the computer for certain things. I know only the BASICS of a computer, that is it. I reformatted my computer because I got a virus. Im assuming I got a virus because I was on this site trying to watch a colin farrell movie(whom I love deerly) for free, so I got a virus. But that Is a given I would get a virus from a site like that. So, this is what I usually do when I get a virus of that kind. I put in my Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade disk and Reformat the whole computer. If that doesnt work I use my younger brothers Windows 97 disk. After that my computer is usually wiped off clean and Its all new again. but not this time, This time it is all wiped clean but slow as HELL. the computer its self is somewhat decent, but As soon as i go onto the internet, it is as slow as dial up. I know it isnt my internet because I have three computers in my house all using the same internet and they all work perfectly fine and fast, except the computer i am talking about. It takes forever to load up just google. and I tried to download flash player to watch videos and guess what my wait was? Over two hour wait just to down load flash player, which usually takes like 30 seconds. Like I said before I have looked this up but I do not know what a RAM or ROM? i dont know, I dont know what that is. I dont know what people are talking about clearing up space or how to even do that, and i certainly dont know what defragmintation is, or ANYTHING of that kind. I am very basic with the computer, I have high speed internet, and usually the problems on my computer is self explanitory and easy to fix, but not this time. I use my computer for basic things, but these basic things are nescesity for me, so I need to fix this soon. Please help, I have no idea what anything is and why it is slow, or how to upgrade or how to clear space, I am clueless. **Dont know if this helps but: I have a windows vista, uhm its a compaq. SR5421F Processor 2048mb Memory 250gb Hard Drive NVIDIA geFORCE 6150 SE Graphics and uhm that is all I see. if i go onto "computer" on my computer is says: Local Disk(c:) 81.5 GB free of 232 GB and that is it??

  From what I can gather from your post, what you're describing in the very slow seek/access times is hard drive failure. It sounds like some of your new installation went on a bad sector. Are you on Windows 7 now? If so, go to Start>Computer and right click on your hard drive. Go to properties and click on the Tools tab. At the very top is a basic error checker: click check now, checkmark both boxes, and run. You'll be able to notice a critically failing hard drive by listening to the computer as well. It sounds a bit like someone snapping their fingers inside your computer. If it fails, replace it. That Compaq uses a SATA hard drive, which are readily available at just about any modern computer store. You'd also be wise to check for RAM errors: Start>Run>mdsched>restart now and check.
