When I use windows movie maker on vista to make a video the final video when published is half video and green

The top half of the window is the video and bottom half is green how do I make the actual video show in the whole window the original video I imported in to movie maker has no green at bottom half.

I had the same problem and was advised to remove all traces if DIVX codex from my computer it solved the problem
