How do i increase my downloading speed?

Answer:
Your internet service provider controls the speed. There is nothing you can install that will make it go faster than what your provider will allow. Don't be scammed by conartists who try to sell things that will "make your download go faster" because they can't speed it up for you. Call your provider and see if they have a faster package. DSL is the best if you can get it.

You need to remember that 1 Byte = 8 Bits. The ISP usually publishes his speed in bits per second, which has small alphabet 'b' in Kbps or Mbps. What you see on the computer will be in Bytes per second with capital 'B' as in KBps or MBps. Most probably, you have subscribed to a 256 Kbps connection, which should show as a maximum value of 32 KBPS. The server of your ISP will restrict data flow rates higher than this and you can't get higher speed unless you pay for more speed. By the way, no ISP guarantees a particular speed you will see speed specified as "upto 3.1Mbps" or "upto 256 Kbps" etc.

hi muhsin, with the DSL broadband connection is the fastest. DSL is offered by a lot of companies like Verison for instance. I love it more in the suburbian area so I use and centurytel but how I got started it with centurytel is a story in its own right. I had a local dial-up connection but every time somebody would get online from across town I would get knocked off my Internet so I would have to go through the procedure of listening to the bangs and Pings to get back online just to have it happen again. But I was having my telephone lines work done when the worker asked me if I have ever used DSL well of course I thought here we go with another commercial. So I decided after having more trouble to try although was a little bit more expensive I was impressed that was seven years ago. Can you believe it seven years and not had one problem that's unbelievable and awesome. Good luck I hope I was helpful to you

You need to get a faster Internet connection. Usually that means paying more money, and the availability of high-speed connections depends on where you live. There is no way to make the connection itself work any faster than it already is.
