How to delete old linux version when you have new version?

Has Linux progressed this far yet?

  • I'm tired of all of the bugs of Vista. However, I don't want to lose all of the info I have forever, either. So, is there any version of Linux that will install and run Adobe Photoshop CS2 just as well as Windows yet? I tried it with the latest of one version about a year ago - but I couldn't CTRL- or CTRL+ to resize the image in the window, so I was paralyzed. There's a guy advertizing on craigslist that Mint is just like Windows 7, but virus-proof. Any truth to it? Can Linux do what I need to do now? If I install it as a Dual-boot, can I delete just Linux later if I don't like it without hurting Windows? What version should I download?

  • Answer:

http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=2631 cs2 works with ubuntu but you may need to use the super key instead of the alt key as described further down this page the super key in ubuntu is the windows key type wubi in google to install ubuntu in a way that is easily removable (via the windows add or remove programs - when you start your computer after installing wubi you will be given the option of windows or ubuntu - log into windows to remove ubuntu/wubi - make sure you install "ubuntu restricted extras" via synaptic for codecs, flash player and java runtime etc (google synaptic for instructions on usage)) email me if you need help

Linux has nothing to do with Photoshop being compatible, that is completely up to Adobe.
