How do I download a DVD decoder?

Where can I find/download a free DVD decoder for Windows Media Player 11?

  • I have a DVD player in my computer, however, everytime I attempt to play a DVD, something pops up telling me I need a Decoder. Where can I find one for Media Player 11 (not 9/10)...or, if someone can give me a player with a reg key. (Please don't direct me to keygen.us...it nearly killed my computer) Thanks,

    if you have a dvd rom drive in your computer, then you should have dvd decoder software already installed. if you can't find the disk that came with your computer with the dvd decoder on, you will have to purchase a package suchas cyberlink powerdvd

try downloading ARES software(diff. versions)from ares.com or areslite.com for direct download totally free then setup ur settings and then search the thing that u want .thats the best software i hav ever seen. u can even download anything litrelly

first you need DivX (divx.com) A lot of media uses this format. Then download Klite codec(you can easily find it on the internet) That will give you the rest of the codecs. lastly, when you try playing the file in WMP it will tell you the codec that it needs you can search for that codec online, or WMP will also give you an option to search online(which reraly works, but you can try)

Isn't WM 11 still in beta? wait until is released and it should have DVD decoder. If it's still not working then your DVD is not standard or has other problems.
