Ubuntu linux users, what is the Difference ?

    Those are Ubuntu releases. They come out every six months. So it refers to people who use different releases of Ubuntu Linux. Some are happy with older and more stabler releases, while some want to update to a new one regularly. Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 (released in April 2008). Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex 8.10 (released in October 2008) Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope 9.04 (released in April 2009... You see the pattern already? :-) Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10 is the current release. The next one will be Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04 in next April.

Those are the releases of Ubuntu. Each version release is given a name. The current version of Ubuntu is 9.10 and is called Karmic Koala. The previous version of Ubuntu was 9.04 and was called Jaunty Jackalope. Before that, 8.10 Intrepid and so on.
