How to update an open Excel in C# using OLEDB?

I do not have Excel, but I would like to open an attachment sent to me as an Excel file, using Open Office?

  • I can only view Excel files, I cannot copy them, modify them or convert them to Open Office. I was sent an Excel file which I need to update using Open Office. How do I do this? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

    You can down load an Excel viewer for free. Just search for Excel reader or viewer and you'll find what you need.

By default, Open Office does not open .xlsx files. You need to download an addon to open these files. Once you have opened the file, you should be bale to modify the file and save it as either a excel or open office file. Open office will prompt you to save the file as an open office file. If you can open the file and it does not let you modify it, try saving the file with another name. Then you should be able to modify the renamed file.
