How do I get my task-bar buttons on my task-bar again?

How do I get a silver taskbar and window frame in Windows XP?

  • I saw my friend (or so-called friend) using a silver taskbar on his computer (i.e., just like the regular XP taskbar except silver, NOT the retro grey taskbar of windows 95-00) and he won't tell me how to get mine that way. Please Help!

    on your desktop right click and select properties->appearance then select the color scheme ddrop down box and select Silver hit apply or OK

Simple actually. See your desktop? Just right click on any empty area on your the desktop. A small box will pop up, and then just click on the text labelled "Properties". Another small window will then pop up as well. Then click on the "Appearance" tab and choose any of your favorite color scheme! Don't forget to click "Apply" and then "Ok". Hey presto! You got what the color scheme that you wanted! Hope that helps! :))

go to your walpaper and right click to Properties than Appereance and change the Color Scheme

Right click on your desktop..scroll to "Properties" (Display Properties)..choose 'windows classic' from "windows and buttons"..select the "Advanced" tab (Advanced Appearance)..Go to "Item" drop down where you can choose your default colors, font styles and font sizes. When you are in the "Display Properties" window you can choose a theme and then modify it to your liking. My favorite is "slate". You can only use this option to change your appearance by choosing "Windows classic". Have fun!!
