How Do I Uninstall Ares?

  • I made the mistake of downloading Ares to try and get albums. It doesn't work. At all. I uninstalled the other things that came with it, but I can't uninstall Ares itself. It doesn't show up under Add or Remove Programs or anything. I have an old computer (Windows XP). I tried using Revo Uninstaller and it said: "No Installation Package Found! Tip: Get more information for the application from the main windows and try to uninstall it manually! C:\Program Files\Ares\Ares.exe" Please help!

  • Answer:

    This might sound stupid initially but bear with me. Use Revo to install Ares, yes, really. This way, it will know all of the locations it gets placed into. Afterwards, tell Revo to uninstall it and it will do just that. You use Revo by instructing it to supervise an installation. It'll ask for the location of the file (the Ares installer) so point to it.
