How to use downloaded fonts?

How do I use downloaded fonts?

  • I recently downloaded some cool fonts (for Windows) and when I go to MSWord or I just browse the fonts for other uses, I can't find them. After I downloaded the fonts, I saved them to the "Fonts" folder (in C:\WINDOWS\Fonts) but even if i open the folder itself, it's not there! Help please!!!

  • Answer:

you need to install the font. Go into control panel and select the fonts folder. Select file when that page opens, then install new font. Then Browse for the font and install it. It will show up in your programs for use.

Most fonts when downloaded are saved as archives (aka .ZIP, .RAR, etc.). You need to first unzip them and then copy and paste the actual unzipped contents (just the font files) into your C:\Windows\Fonts folder.

Save your downloaded files to a different folder not the c:\windows\fonts then Go to controll panel > Fonts Then open File menu (Alt + F) and select > Install fonts > Show the folder where you download the font files and select the fonts you need to install. and select install. Now try in Wrod.
