How to crack mac osx login password without being an admin?

OK... so my mom set a password on MY computer that i BOUGHT, and made it so i'm not an admin anymore, set up parental controls so i can't do updates, she says i dont need them. I really need updates so my computer can work! it really needs the updates. so my question is how can i find out a password that will help me with that? I'm on mac osx leopard. Thanks!

I think you should talk to your mom about this. There is no way to crack a password. That's called 'security.'

What were you doing to cause your mom to do that? The computer is designed to not allow you to crack the password, so it is not going to happen anytime soon. Here is the best way to solve your problem: 1. Ask your mother what she is concerned about regarding your online habits. 2. Make a deal with her, ask her to take off the controls for three days, then let her search your history after that time, so you can prove to her you are not doing anything bad. 3. Continue to let her search your computer anytime and build trust over time. But I really want to know what you did to get her to want to exert parental controls. How old are you?
