What files are included in the file backup?

How do i backup files on my computer without backing up the OS? i want EVERY file but the OS.?

  • I am wanting to back up the files on my computer. i am fairly good with computers. my computer had a virus on it and wiped a bunch of things out. I am not able to repair the problems with the xp cds. so i am doing a full restore, but i want to keep all of the files that i have just not the OS files. any help would be nice, or programs that have worked.

    START > All Programs >Accesories > System Tools > Backup You can use the wizard or select manually the files you want to back up.
