How to transfer Outlook Express emails from one laptop to another?

How can I transfer my emails and folders from Outlook Express 2000 to Microsoft Outlook 2003?

  • Answer:

It's pretty much the same process for importing messages from any supported email client, into Outlook 2003. Open Outlook 2003, at the top left corner click on the File menu, about mid way down click on Import & Export. This will start a wizard, first it will ask you what it is you want to import, or export. The Import Export Wizard will open, asking what you would like to do, select "Import from another program or file" and click next. Find Outlook Express 4.x, 5.x, 6.x in the list and click next. The import export wizard will close, and a new window will open, there should only be on option "Microsoft Outlook Express" select it, and click next. Choose the email account you would like to import, then click next. Now it will show you all of the account settings that Outlook Express was using, you should beable to click next until it asks you for your username and password, where you'll need to type in your password for that email account. Click next and then finished. Now a new notice will popup asking if you would like to import messages, and folders. Click yes and that should do it.
