How can I check my Internet Explorer browser?

My internet browser keeps going "Back" randomly and quite often, how can I make this stop? Internet Explorer 6

  • I am using internet explorer version 6.0.2900.2180 on windows xp sp2 professional. Just recently after I installed an old game of Rollercoaster Tycoon I noticed that my browser keeps hitting back, sometimes only once, sometimes many times in rapid sucession. Sometimes I fight it hitting forward as fast as I can, often I lose these battles and result to alt f4ing out of frustration. I tried running an online virus check, but halfway through it the browers went back. I have no idea why this occurs.

  • Answer:

Do the usual clean up. Top of web page tools internet options delete files delete cookies clear history click on content clear ssl state autocomplete clear forms. Then D/load ccleaner free and easy to use, run the cleaner. Also its an good idea to clear your prefetch folder, go to C Windows Prefetch delete all that is there, except setup. You might want to D/load these, again free and easy to use. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Your browser has been hijacked. Install antivirus software.

Could be a virus or something else from the game. Scan the computer. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling the game. Then you'll know if that was the cause. If it's neither of them then it might be just because the network isn't running properly. IE isn't very good in my experience.
