What are music loops?

What's the best way to organize music you listen to as opposed to music loops you use in garage band and logic

  • Currently I end up with a lot of duplicate files. I need a reference to organizing my files better not just music but also graphics. I end up organizing what I can in iphoto but still i have lots of swf and other graphics elements that are not able to import into iphoto. i have a similar issue with garage band and the apple loops. i'd like all my loops to just be in one place on my external drive and have all the music I actually listen to on my internal drive where itunes "likes" it

  • Answer:

I have a Powerbook G4 12" with the 80 gig hard drive. All my music is in the "itunes library" under the "music" portion of the hard drive. I would imagine that the loops for garage band are in the Garage band folder under "music". If you want to place the loops and what not on an external hard drive, you'll probably have to tell the computer where to find the loops. As for photos, i have all of them under "photos" in a folder (different from the iPhoto folder), organized by category (as in pictures of friends, funny pictures, etc). It works fairly well for me, i just have tons of folders i have to open to find what i want-but once i open all folders, i have exactly what i'm looking for!
