What is a good alternative to Yahoo Messenger for Macs which supports video chat and chat rooms?

Most Mac chat programs do not support chat rooms unlike the PC version of Yahoo Instant Messenger.

Apple's iChat will do video, but it doesn't have public chat rooms as does Yahoo! Messenger. Yahoo! is lame, they think everyone uses Explorer and lives in a Microsoft world. Don't they realize that Microsoft is a competitor and that by lameing down every offering that doesn't work on a Microsoft product they're just helping out their competitor?
